Prof. Alaa El-Haddad is a professor of pediatric hematology-oncology and stem cell transplant and is currently the head of Pediatric Oncology Department & Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at children cancer hospital of Egypt (CCHE - 57357)

Dr. Elhaddad served as the ex-dean of the National Cancer Institute, Cairo University for four years and he is the Head of the African BMT society at present.

In addition, he is a board member of several regional and international scientific and academic societies.

His main areas of interest include Bone Marrow Transplantation for hematological disorders and targeted therapies for pediatric malignancies.

Dr Omrani is Head of Adult Infectious Diseases Physician and Deputy Chairman of the Department of Medicine at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center.

He completed his specialist training in
Adult Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiology at the University
Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.

His clinical and research interests focus
on the management of infections caused by extensively resistant
pathogens, infections in immune compromised hosts and infections
in critically ill patients.

research focuses on juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML), and

In 2012 he got a Healthcare Management Diploma from the American University in Cairo.

He has been selected as a member of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities scientific committee responsible for the academic promotion of Hematology / Oncology faculty members across all
Egyptian universities.

Dr. Hafez is currently a Professor of Pediatric Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) at National Cancer Institute, Cairo University and a Consultant of Pediatric Hematology Oncology and BMT at Children’s Cancer Hospital Egypt 57357.

He is also the primary investigator of pediatric chronic myeloid leukemia study group at CCHE 57357 .

Dr. Hafez is a member of the advisory research committee for the Pediatric Oncology East and Mediterranean (POEM) group. The main focus of his interest and specialization is Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant. He is also interested in medical education and training in pediatric oncology and BMT.

He serves as a Program Director for the Pediatric Oncology Fellowship program at CCHE and Dana-Farber Children’s Hospital Cancer Center.

He has many publications in pediatric hematopoietic stem cell transplant, childhood soft tissue sarcoma, and pediatric solid tumors.

Dr. Abdel-Azim is physician and researcher who conduct laboratory research with aim of translating it into clinical applications .

He is a principal and a co-principal investigator on several investigator-initiated and multi-center studies.

He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters.

His lab research is mainly focused on acute leukemia .

Dr. Abdel-Azim is an expert in blood and marrow transplantation, cellular and immunotherapy for a wide variety of cancers, bone marrow disorders, and genetic and non-malignant diseases.

He also has special expertise in laboratory
assessment for minimal residual disease in blood cancers and immune recovery after blood and marrow transplantation.

His research interests include infections in immune compromised host, reduction of transplant-associated complications, treatment of graft vs host disease, and use of cell therapy for treatment of malignant and non-malignant disea .
